Making Progress
When I first figured out what I wanted to do for my thesis, I was only able to get 3 participants. I got their pictures and facts through a friend. For a while, that was all I had. Fortunately for me, there are people at my school that really want to help me out. I got in touch with the communications office at PCAD and they put together a post to promote my project. You can find the Instagram post on @pcad_edu; it was also posted on Facebook.
I've received 8 submissions since the post was published, and I'm excited to see how many more I get! I am certainly not the fastest painter, but I'm working on portraits 2 and 3 at the moment and plan to do more over winter break.
I love watching other artists' processes so for anyone else who enjoys that, here are some timelapses I've taken while working on these portraits.
I wish I would have started this one sooner, but you get the idea.
I also share timelapses on my Instagram stories from time to time, (karissanicole_3) if you want to check that out.
